Prayer Chain

The ministry of The Church in Aurora Prayer Chain addresses the needs, concerns and gratitude of its members and friends as well as their friends and members of the community.  The committee consists of 29 members ( frequently also their families) who receive prayer requests by a mailed letter, which goes out every Monday, and also about 40 who receive the letter by e-mail, usually on Sunday.  Urgent requests are called by phone and sent by e-mail whenever the need arises.

Prayer request cards are in the pew racks in the sanctuary and given to an usher who collects them during the first hymn.  Requests are included in the prayer by the pastor each Sunday except for communion Sundays.  Anyone filling out a card should be careful to write clearly.

Participation in the Prayer Chain tends to be rewarding for its members as well as for those who request prayers.  All are welcome to participate.  Anyone interested can contact the chairman or the church office.
