General Information - Facilities

RULES FOR FACILITIES USE

 General:

1. There shall be no use of alcoholic beverages or tobacco on the premises of The Church in Aurora.

2. When requesting use of church facilities, remember to request time for set-up and clean-up after the area has been used.

Kitchen, Fellowship Hall, The Great Hall

1. Please return all items to their proper places.  Please wash, dry, and put away all mugs, silverware, utensils, etc.

2.  Please wipe down all counters and drain boards, taking care to wipe underneath all coffee pots and the fronts of cupboards where coffee is served.  The acid in coffee leaves permanent stains and ruins the finish of countertops and cupboards.

3. Please empty and clean all coffeemakers, whether they belong to you or to the church.

4. Please do not leave anything in the refrigerators or freezers unless your name is on it.  Take leftovers home, throw them out or give them away.  Any food left without identification will be thrown away.

5. Leave soiled dish towels and cloths in blue plastic containers found in each kitchen.

6. Please wipe off refrigerator, using a damp cloth only.  Use no cleaners or scouring pads.

7.  Please clean out and rinse the garbage disposal.

8. Do not leave items in the kitchen or in the closet.

9.  If you find we are short of supplies or out of needed items, please alert Cheryl Miller at 562-8492, or make a note of the needed supplies and attach it to the main bulletin board in the kitchen.

 Other Areas of the Church:

1. Please turn out lights and close all inside doors as you leave, even if you are not the last one to leave the church.

2.  Please lock the outside doors as you exit, even if there are still others in the building.  They will be able to exit, and the doors will lock behind them.

3.  Please return all pieces of furniture to their original positions.  Store tables and chairs in the proper storage areas.

4. In carpeted areas, please be careful of spills and clean up such accidents immediately.

5. All food served in the Fellowship Hall should be eaten there.  The same recommendation applies to the Great Hall or any other area of the church.  Members of a group should not wander about the building with food and drink.

6. No food or drink should ever be taken into the Sanctuary.   Please help to enforce this respect for the Place of Worship.

NOTE:  Thank you for observing these rules for the proper use of our church facilities.  Such observance will keep our building cleaner, will make less work for  everyone and will exhibit true respect for our church facilities.
