 - The Eldercare Support Group. If you or someone you know are struggling to care for an elderly loved one, help is available.  A good place to begin finding help is by attending our monthly Eldercare support group which meets the first Wednesday of each month beginning October 5 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in Harris Study (basement, under the North Chapel).  Facilitating this group is a collaborative effort between The Church in Aurora and HomeInstead Home Health Care (who also provides free in-home help while you attend meetings).  For more information about this opportunity, contact Sharon Jenkins (216/287-7973, sharonjenkins08@gmail.com).

Church Library - The Church Library is open every Sunday morning.  Stop by and check out the large selection of books.

RECYCLING BASKET – There's a basket on the desk in the Great Hall which continues to amaze us! After it's emptied, weekly, it's miraculously full again the next Sunday. As part of the year-round fundraising that benefits the Workcamp Fund, the used ink cartridges and cellphones you donate are dutifully collected, sorted and mailed by Kim Williamson. A huge THANK YOU to Kim for faithfully continuing this service year after year, and to you for donating these items which have raised $491.90 since last summer! This is almost DOUBLE the amount of the last two years! Keep 'em coming!

Audio CD's of the Sunday services are available in the library in the top drawer of the cherry chest to the right of the door.  If you would like to purchase a CD, contact Phil Ticer at 330-995-9318.

CARE TEAM - is available for those who need meals during a time of recovery or a ride to an appointment or someone to pick up prescriptions or just a friendly visit. If they could help you, call Rita Suchanek at 330-562-3273 or 216-570-9808!

Paper Recycling Bin  If you are bringing in SHREDDED paper they ask that you leave it in plastic bags (if you don't have paper ones) so it doesn’t blow all over the parking lot when they empty the dumpsters.  Thank you to those of you who are bringing in your company’s obsolete catalogs to our paper recycling dumpster!  That will bring us some extra dollars for the church budget.

Wanted! Used Ink Cartridges and Cell phones – Did you upgrade your cell phone this holiday season?  Don't throw away your old cell phones!   Please save them for the Workcamp Fund.  A drop-off basket is on the desk in the Great Hall near the nursery.  Used printer ink cartridges are also recycled.  HELP SAVE OUR LANDFILLS while providing financial support for Workcamp!  This is a year-round program and you don't have to buy a thing!

Altar Flowers Sign-up Sheets are posted on the bulletin board in the Great Hall.

Coffee Hour  - Sign-up sheets for coffee hour treats are on the bulletin board next to the kitchen window in Fellowship Hall.  Please consider signing up to make everyone's Sunday morning a little sweeter!

Need a Gift Idea?  If there is an important occasion in your life, please remember that a contribution to our church Endowment Fund would be a special remembrance that will keep on giving forever.  For details please call any member of the Endowment Fund.  And thank you for thinking of our church's future.

Paper RecyclingOn August 4th, a paper recycling bin was placed at the southwest corner of the parking lot (directly opposite the trash dumpster).  The Church Board has agreed to participate in a fundraising program that will allow the church to benefit from our recycling efforts.  The program is called Paper Retriever and we will receive funds from every ton of paper collected.  The bins accept all paper (office, newspaper, magazines, catalogs & junk mail).  No cardboard, phone book or food containers are accepted here!  Shredded paper needs to be contained (in bag).  There will be more detailed information around the church in the coming weeks.  If you have any questions in the meanwhile feel free to contact any of the Trustees.  Bring your paper with you to church on Sunday morning – clean out your house and help us raise more funds!
