Touch of God is designed to teach children 4 years old thru 4^th grade about God, Jesus and the Bible through carefully designed hands-on materials, as well as listening to sacred stories pertaining to those materials.  It goes beyond traditional religious education to truly nurture each child’s curiosity and spiritual desires.

Touch of God provides an attractive, inviting environment in which the religious potential of the child may freely develop.  The goal of Touch of God is to offer children the opportunity to know God more intimately.  By providing the freedom to explore, children learn about God in their own personal way.

Touch of God is modeled from the Montessori Method of education.  Montessori believes that before any information reaches the brain it passes through the senses first.  Montessori also believes that each child possesses his or her own innate force to learn.  To meet all the developmental needs of the child, Montessori created a carefully designed environment.  The environment of Touch of God creates a "sacred space" in which to present the stories of our faith, to reflect on them together, and then to allow the child open-ended opportunities, usually through art or specially designed activities, to absorb the story in their own individual way.
